CMVM College Operations Group Remit
Purpose of the College Operations Group
The College Operations Group (COG) will support the College Executive Group in the delivery and implementation of the College strategic objectives and associated plans aligned to the University 2030 plan. The College Operation Group will be accountable for the delivery of operational matters. It will act as a decision making forum for College operational issues.
Principles
Members of College Operations Group should act on the principles of transparency, equity and subsidiarity at all times. The group will work collaboratively and inclusively. These principles will be embedded through a variety of actions including:
Transparency – The group agenda, papers and minutes will be published on the College website, unless confidential.
Equity – The group will review both its membership and in decision making processes on an annual basis. A diversity of views will be actively sought on all papers.
Subsidiarity – The group will delegate authority to individuals and committees to make decisions at the point they can most effectively be made.
Remit
The College Operational Group Members have collective ownership and have individual responsibility for:
- Developing and monitoring delivery of College strategic and operational planning objectives
- Implementation and feedback of College policies, procedures and plans.
- Will receive regular updates on relevant strategic initiatives from members.
- Acting as a forum for the management of staff in line with University policies.
- Overseeing organisational performance throughout the College.
- Facilitating and agree cross-college activity and communications.
- Ensure good and ethical governance for the College.
- Responsible for maintaining the College risk register.
- Maintainance and evolution of strategic and operational budget planning and operations
- Supporting and leadership in the development of College culture and community.
