CSE Resilience and Health & Safety Group Remit

The remit of the College Resilience and Health & Safety Group is:

  • To review Emergency Response and business continuity arrangements, consider any updates and agree on required alignment;
  • To review and action as appropriate major incidents/accidents lessons learned that may have happened involving one or more Business Units (BUs);
  • To discuss common topics/concerns, both campus or topic related (for example: traffic, infrastructure, training needs, general emergency procedures), define actions and where applicable define, approve and adopt common protocols/procedures;
  • To review relevant communication channels and its functionality;
  • To test of common protocols/procedures;
  • To follow-up action plans established within the group through allocation of responsibilities for completing the actions, monitoring implementation and reviewing effectiveness;
  • To feedback as appropriate to the University Health & Safety Committee and to action any feedback/guidance received from the University Health & Safety Committee;
  • To feedback/escalate as appropriate to the College Professional Service Managers Groupp (CPSMG) or the College Strategy & Management Committee (CSMC) on pressing matters that require College senior management attention;
  • To identify future risks and issues through horizon scanning (to include any new or revised legislative or regulatory requirements).
