Research Cultures Delivery Group Remit
Purpose
The Research Cultures Delivery Group (RCDG) is a task and finish sub-group of Research Strategy Group (RSG) operating until December 2025. The RCDG is chaired by the Head of Research Cultures and is tasked with monitoring the delivery of the Research Cultures Action and Delivery Plan 2023-25 and will monitor progress of the Postgraduate Research Cultures Plan.
Governance & Operation
- The working group will act under the auspices of the Research Strategy Group, which reports to University Executive and Senate.
- The working group will, through its membership, maintain close links with the Research Ethics and Integrity Group (REIRG), Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and its sub-committees (EDIC), the Researcher Development Concordat Implementation Group, the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Committee, the Staff Experience Committee, Technician Steering Committee and the Doctoral College Management Group.
- The working group will aim to promote transparency, inclusion and engagement in its working by making the agenda, note of the meeting and papers available within the University, via this committee site: Research Cultures Delivery Group.
Meeting Frequency
- The RCDG will meet twice a year.
- Meetings of RCDG will focus on communication of completed actions and discussion of next steps where actions require additional resource to be completed, or where actions need to be refocused.
Reporting
- Members of the group and action owners will provide quarterly updates on progress against their assigned actions by email to the Chair.
- RCDG will report bi-annually to RSG.
Membership
- Membership of the group will be drawn from representatives of departments or units that are the lead owner of actions.
- The Chair(s) of the Research Cultures Forum will be members of this group.
